A swarm of small electromechanical devices peck and tap at
street furniture, turning them into sound objects. The solar and battery powered units are mounted on signs, street lights, electrical boxes, security cameras and other objects within public space. Their movements trigger the natural resonances of each object and together form a tonal ensemble.
This action creates an unusual soundscape in public urban space and offers a new acoustic presence to overlooked objects, which might otherwise disappear in the permanent sign flood.
