Artist-in-residence in the streets of Český Krumlov, Czech Republic. Gupfinger questioned the urban landscape through the production of three-dimensional signs. Overlooked objects including rubbish, street signs, construction waste and fence posts were used as the basic materials for this experimental work. These urban discoveries were assembled into site specific and temporary sculptures. The radical redeployment of these discarded materials opened new perspectives on their embedded meanings within the architectural and urban context.
